Don't know what a botnet is? According to Wikipedia,

Botnet is a jargon term for a collection of software robots, or bots, which run autonomously.

But that still doesn't tell you much does it? A botnet is the malicious entity that can drive a denial-of-service (dns) attack or use mail servers and other applications for spam email and click fraud. Botnets are the essence of evil in the spyware world.
